Beef & Potato Dog Food
Prepared in a 8qt Instant Pot. Store refrigerated up-to 5 days, freeze remaining in freezer safe glass container or serving portioned bags (be sure to date).
- 3 pounds ground beef, 80/20
- 2.5 oz beef liver
- 3 pounds 9oz russet potatoes, skin on
- 1 pound 14oz sweet potatoes, skin on
- 5 oz carrots (about 3 carrots)
- 5 oz green beans
- 2.5 oz peas
- 2.5 oz apple
- 3.4oz fish oil
Prep
- Fill your instant pot an inch of filtered water
- Place in ground beef
- Add fish oil
- Breakup beef with hands until combined
- Add liver
- Finely chop all other ingredients, add to pot.
- Manual/pressure cook 30 minutes
Instant Pot
- Release pressure when timer goes off
- Remove liver and separately blend with water.
- Blend thoroughly.
- Add to pot, mix and incorporate everything thoroughly.
- Chill and refrigerate.
- You can purchase a silicone instant pot lid and additional stainless pot for easier storage.
Feed accordingly to dogs weight. Batch lasts me three days (6 servings) with a snack, for two full size Australian Shepherds.
